MAKTA SILK SAREE

The rough handloom Indian silk fabric known as Matka Peace is created by leaving the gum (sericin) portion of the mulberry silk (Bombyx Mori) in tact. It is primarily obtained from the states of Kashmir and Karnataka, while West Bengal's Malda and Murshidabad Districts are where it is spun. It is made of thick yarn spun from Bombyx Mori silkworms, which causes some irregularities in the fabric's texture. It has less lustre than traditional silk. Although the Matka fabric is substantial, it is incredibly light and airy and has a texture that is similar to tweed material.
